Answers to the most frequently asked questions about my services and home organization in general...
What is a Professional Home Organizer?
A Professional Home Organizer is someone that helps you to overcome clutter and disorganization to make your life less stressful and your time more efficient. We can help you get things organized and projects completed that you may be unable to do on your own. We create order in people’s lives and suggest solutions/ improvements that, when implemented, can last a lifetime.
We can help you with major life changes such as divorce, a new baby on the way, a death in the family, moving to a retirement home and moving on to a new job. We help you transition into this new phase of life, with intentions of reducing anxiety and making it easier to move forward in a calm way.
Why hire a Professional Home Organizer?
A Professional Home Organizer not only helps you organize your mess, but they also create easy-to-follow systems to help keep it that way. They are there to help you through the entire process or to get down and dirty and do everything themselves. They are there to sit, sort, clean, file, de-clutter, and de-stress to help make your home a better place to live. Just like people rely on help doing their taxes (accountant) or helping with a broken pipe (plumber) they can rely on professional organizers to help run a more efficient clutter free home. We work with the “stuff” and we work with the clients.
How do you know if you need a Professional Organizer?
Signs to look for:

You’re easily distracted and can’t complete projects
The garage is full of stuff
You have boxes stored for ages and have no idea what’s inside them
Common Reasons to Contact a Professional Organizer
Need help decluttering before selling your home
Your kitchen is not functioning well
You want to convert your “junk” room into a room with a purpose
Downsizing
Packing to move

What are the benefits of getting organized?
EVERYTHING! BEING ORGANIZED IS INVALUABLE:
More time to do as you please
Pride in your beautiful clutter free home
Higher self esteem
Less stress and easier to find things: “purposeful placement” (put items away immediately and you will know where to find them when searching)
No more duplicate purchases due to lost originals.
More efficient use of your time, and more time allows you to focus on other important things like your family, job, travel, vacation days. Vacation days can be “vacation” days when you lead an organized life.
Which areas do you service?
From A to Z, I will tackle almost any area of your home. You can see a full listing of areas and rooms serviced on the Services page.
Will you work with me or just coach me?
It’s entirely up to you. You will need to be present for some decision making. But I can do a lot by myself. At the end of the sessions, I will leave you with suggestions to maintain the order. If you don’t want to touch a thing, you don’t have to. But, if you do want to help, it’ll get the job done faster, and in the end, save you money.
How long will it take to get organized?
That depends on many factors:
Size of space
How much “stuff”
Working alone (or with client)
How easily you can “let go” of items
Keep in mind that the clutter will not go away overnight. It took a long time to get this way so it will take some time sorting it out.
How do I get started?
Simply contact me here and tell me what your concerns are, what rooms/areas you’d like organized, and any other details you’d like to include. I will then get back with you and we can set up a time for a consultation.
